Hey y'all. I stumbled over this documentary today called "The Mask You Live In" which explores the socialization of males in our society and how we unwittingly shape many of them into entitled, violent, controlling dysfunctional people. It addresses how this socialization affects relationships between men and women and how it affects the father/child relationship.

Many of the things they're talking about ring so true of the majority of our stories on this forum of relationships wit PD men; so I wonder, is it always PD that causes these behaviors, or could some of what we are enduring have its roots in the childhood socialization and belief systems instilled in men from the time they are small boys.

It's on Netflix now. Please take some time to go watch it; especially if you have sons.
