I was diagnosed several years ago by a psychiatrist. I have a lot of issues with not having control about various aspects of my life. I'd like to be able to talk to/hear from others about this issue.

I know that the only thing I have control over is Me and my behavior.
Attempting to control anything that you don't have your hands on is like spinning your wheels.
You CAN change the way you think about things. Remember, OCPD is a learned behavior, therefore we do have the power to modify our behavior.

I'll bet that your affliction is wearing you out.
Releasing your need to "control" things will free up your thoughts.

Mollie - there is a wealth of information stored within this forum. The search mode will let you look up a lot of things about OCPD and how it is difficult, but also good in some situations. Some members are better than average on research....don't give up, till you find your answers....and, allow some time for the information to gel inside you.....if you have any questions, or I can help from my own perspective, I'll do my best...Good luck
